This edition will be available both on the 718 Boxster and the 718 Cayman.
One of the available paint colours is Ruby Star Neo, a bright pink first seen on the 964 Carrera RS.
Two contrasting colour options are offered: gloss black and gloss white.
Porsche is adding a new version to its 718 family for 2023 with the introduction of the Style Edition, available on both the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman.
As its name suggests, this special edition is an appearance package that includes many distinctive elements designed to make the vehicles stand out more than the regular Boxsters and Caymans.
The most visible element of the package is the available Ruby Star Neo paint colour, which is a modern rendition of the bright pink Ruby Star paint that was introduced on the 964 Carrera back in the early 90s.
Every 718 Style Edition model is equipped with 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels that are finished in gloss black as standard, as are the sport tailpipes. A silver Porsche script on the rear completes the distinctive elements that set the Style Edition apart from regular models.
Customers who choose the Style Edition Boxster or Cayman will also be able to choose two contrast packages (gloss black or gloss white) that include stripes on the hood, Porsche logos on the side as well as black or white-painted wheels and model designation on the rear.
Inside, the Style Edition comes standard with a black leather package that is offset with chalk-coloured stitching and embossed Porsche crests on the headrests. Illuminated doorsills are also standard.
In terms of equipment, the 718 Boxster and Cayman Style Edition models are equipped with heated seats and steering wheel, a dual-zone climate control system, bi-xenon headlamps, a sports exhaust, Park Assist, Apple CarPlay, and rain-sensing wipers, among other features.
Under the rear hood, both models are powered by a 2.0L turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This engine can be paired with the standard 6-speed manual transmission or with the optional 7-speed PDK unit.
The next generation of the 718 family will arrive in 2025 as fully electric vehicles built on the new PPE platform, so more special edition models of the last gasoline-powered Boxster and Cayman are likely to be added later in 2023 and 2024.
The automaker has yet to announce the prices for the Style Edition models in Canada as deliveries are expected to begin in Europe, starting early next year.
