Porsche Adds Plug & Charge Support for Tesla Superchargers in Canada

No need for apps: Porsche gives its EV drivers seamless charging experience at Tesla stations.

  • Porsche EVs now support Plug & Charge at 27,500 Tesla Superchargers in North America.

  • Macan Electric and 2026 Taycan models gain access via Porsche Charging Service membership

  • Cayenne Electric to join Plug & Charge network in Canada upon launch later this year.

Porsche Cars Canada has enabled Plug & Charge functionality for Macan Electric and 2026 Taycan models on the Tesla Supercharger network. The integration is offered through the Porsche Charging Service and allows customers to access over 27,500 Tesla Superchargers across North America with automatic, encrypted authentication and billing.

The new functionality removes the need for smartphone apps or credit cards at compatible stations. Active members of the Porsche Charging Service can now initiate charging by simply plugging in, streamlining the process and reducing wait times.

Porsche also confirmed that the upcoming Cayenne Electric will also support Plug & Charge on the Tesla network when it becomes available in Canada later this year.

The company has widened its charging ecosystem over the past year to offer more flexible solutions for electric vehicle owners. In addition to Tesla Superchargers, Plug & Charge is also supported at Electrify Canada locations. Porsche has introduced over-the-air software updates for the Taycan and Macan Electric, and provides complimentary NACS/CCS DC adapters to support wider charging infrastructure compatibility.

“This marks significant progress with regards to convenience for our EV customers,” said Trevor Arthur, President and CEO of Porsche Cars Canada. “Increasing Plug & Charge access makes charging simpler and more user-friendly, moving us closer to a seamless electric vehicle experience.”
