Porsche Adds The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid To Its Lineup

It was only a matter of time before the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid appeared in the SUVs lineup and now it’s here.

Porsche announced three new trims on its Cayenne lineup. Indeed, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe and Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe just entered the SUV line.

The new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid will be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 combined with an electric motor good for a jaw-dropping 670 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque.

The V8 alone is making 541 horsepower while the electric motor accounts for 134 horses. The 14.1 kWh lithium ion battery has a range of up to 40 km according to the German manufacturer. The electric motor alone can, in E-Power driving mode, propel the Cayenne to a maximum speed of 135 km/h.

Both the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe models sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds on their way to a top speed of 295 km/h.

Like every other car featuring their hybrid powertrains, the three new models will have a distinctive Acid Green paint around their badges, and on their brake calipers.

In Canada, the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid will start at $182,200 while the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé starts at $187,100. They should start to arrive in dealers in the first quarter of 2020.
