- 911s in colours across the spectrum to celebrate employees across the spectrum
- Porsche has diversity department to help grow diversity and tolerance
Porsche is celebrating pride with one of the fastest rainbow flags anywhere. The automaker parked 911s in six shades proudly in front of the company’s museum over the weekend, and employees ran a virtual Pride Run to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
“We demand and foster equal opportunities and want to make it possible for all Porsche staff to contribute just how they are, regardless of elements including their gender, ethnic background, religion, disability, age or sexual orientation,” said Porsche Human Resources Board Member Andreas Haffner.
The rainbow of Porsche 911 models parked in front of the museum sat under a rainbow flag flying in front of Porscheplatz, the company’s museum. The celebration included a number of Porsche employees wearing Proud @ Porsche shirts and running in a virtual run to help show their solidarity with the community. Porsche has also driven rainbows of cars in Pride Parades in past years, including near the company’s North American HQ in Atlanta.
Porsche says the company embraces diversity and tolerance all year, and has a Department for Equal Opportunities and Diversity that works to actively build equal opportunity for all the company’s staff. The automaker says that it “stands up for an open-minded co-existence and bringing diversity to life.”
