Porsche Debuts the Powerful 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid

Porsche unveils the mightiest Cayenne ever produced

In the realm of high-performance SUVs, Porsche has raised the bar with the introduction of its 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, now available in both SUV and Coupe body styles. As the pinnacle of the Cayenne range, the Turbo E-Hybrid stands out not just for its impressive performance but also its upgraded technology.

With an astounding output of 729 horsepower, the Turbo E-Hybrid unites a four-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, generating 591 hp, and a supplementary electric motor with a power output of 174 hp. The combined strength propels the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, further solidifying its claim as the sports car among SUVs. Furthermore, enthusiasts will be excited by its top track speed, which caps at 295 km/h.

Following the third generation Cayenne‘s unveiling earlier this year, Porsche continues to innovate by refining its plug-in hybrid powertrain. The enhanced electric range and power are the result of the new larger high-voltage battery (25.9 kWh), conveniently located under the trunk area. Charging is also more efficient: the 11-kW on-board charger can fully recharge the battery in under 2.5 hours, a notable achievement given the battery’s increased capacity.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid doesn’t compromise on handling or comfort. The standard adaptive air suspension system integrates a novel two-chamber, two-valve technology. This innovative addition ensures separate adjustability for both compression and rebound settings, achieving an equilibrium between dynamic driving and cruising comfort. Additionally, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) comes standard, with the option to enhance the driving experience with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and rear-axle steering.

Aesthetically, the Turbo E-Hybrid models distinguish themselves with distinctive design elements. Both the SUV and Coupe variants exhibit a Turbo-specific front fascia with expansive air intakes, painted wheel arches, dual exhaust tailpipes made of brushed aluminium, and red brake calipers. The interiors reflect the sporty exterior with aluminium trim, a Race-Tex roof liner, and a choice between 18-way adjustable leather Sport seats or the alternative 14-way adjustable leather Comfort seats.

Building on the foundation of the 2024 Cayenne models, the Turbo E-Hybrid comes standard with HD-Matrix Design LED headlights, a potent 15-watt air-conditioned induction-charging pad, and a digital instrument cluster with multiple settings for personalized information display.

For Canadian Porsche aficionados, the wait won’t be long. The Turbo E-Hybrid models are available for order, with deliveries anticipated in Q2, 2024. The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid carries an MSRP of $171,200, while the Coupe variant is priced at $176,300.
