Porsche is back at the Canadian International Auto Show in 2024

  • Porsche is back at the Toronto auto show.

  • The Porsche Vision GT will be the brand’s main attraction.

It seems that the exodus of certain car brands from motor shows is a two-way concept. Occasionally, a manufacturer decides to reconsider its position. Such is the case with Porsche, which has just announced its return at the 2024 Canadian International Auto Show being held in Toronto around Valentine’s Day.

This is excellent news for consumers who also go to the show to admire special out of price cars from the exotic segment, even though Porsche is not just a producer of exotic cars.

Speaking of exotic cars, the Stuttgart-based division’s centerpiece will be a concept designed for the Gran Turismo series. The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo is a styling study created specifically for the virtual world of the Gran Turismo video game. The super Porsche can be seen – and driven – in Gran Turismo 7 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms.

This is Porsche’s first styling study for a game console. The German brand has been part of the Gran Turismo universe since 2017, but this unique creation has been around since 2021, the year the car was officially revealed on the web.

“It is great news to be able to welcome Porsche back to the AutoShow, with some interesting and exciting cars to showcase along with the Vision GT,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow. “The Vision GT exemplifies the vision and creativity of vehicle design, a showcase of innovative thinking and approach that you can only see at the AutoShow.”

While the chances of seeing this Vision GT on the streets are nil, enthusiasts can at least admire the details inspired by classics such as the Taycan or the timeless 911.
