News Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Goes Into Series Production

Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Goes Into Series Production

Sometimes we think that Porsche builds cars just for us. And by us, we’re referring to car enthusiasts the world over. And by car enthusiasts the world over, we’re talking about the 99% that can’t afford their cars.

The beauty with Porsche is that they have the ability to transmit this desirability factor into all of their products. The Porsche Taycan is one such example where overnight, it became the hottest luxury performance electric car in the world.

Now, Porsche has decided to send the Mission E Cross Turismo into production, once more creating a product that we all want. Cross, Sport, Turismo, Track, Terrain, anything to do with rugged looks without being a crossover or SUV is very hot right now. The Taycan Cross Turismo will be hot.

This means that the Cross Turimso will be a derivative of the Taycan, much like the Sport Turismo is of the Panamera. Having said that, the Cross Turismo will then feature the same 800-volt architecture and connection to the fast charging network as the Taycan. It will also share the same 600-horsepower system output and 500km of range.

This decision will create 300 more jobs and is part of Porsche’s plans to invest more than six billion euros in electromobility by 2022.
