The Porsche Taycan will have a revolutionary Apple Music feature to go with its revolutionary electric powertrain.
As we inch closer to the September 4 reveal date for the all-new Porsche Taycan EV, Porsche is releasing a number of teasers and little bits of info on its new electric vehicle. Today, we get a partial look at its dashboard and Apple Music feature.
The new Taycan will be the first production vehicle to offer Apple Music which comes with over 50 million songs. Porsche has also concocted a few special playlists specifically for Taycan owners. The subscription to Apple Music will be free for the first six months.
The partial glimpse at the new Taycan’s dashboard appears to show some kind of Sport Chrono package for the new Porsche EV. Along with the traditional stopwatch on the top of the dash, the Taycan also appears to have five driving modes including Normal, Sport, Sport+, Individual and Range. The first four are well-known to anyone who owns or has driven a Porsche while the fifth will likely aim at maximizing range and efficiency.
The Taycan is expected to have over 600 horsepower and a 90-kWh battery which will translate into 500 kilometres of range. There are different versions of the Taycan in the works including a possible “Taycan” turbo.
The Porsche Taycan will be available towards the end of the year with first deliveries happening in the fourth quarter and early next year.
