Porsche Taycan EV Teaser Images Reveal Strong Panamera Resemblance

Of all the cars set to be unveiled in the next 12 months or so, the new Taycan electric vehicle from Porsche has to be one of the most highly anticipated.

The new Porsche Taycan EV is more than just a luxury electric vehicle, it’s the first real contenter to the Tesla Model S in over six years. We have praised the Model S’ success for half a decade, but we have never seen how it does with a true rival.

The Taycan will be that rival. Early reports suggest it will start at $90,000 US which puts it squarely in the same segment as the Model S. Early spec info on the Porsche Taycan tells us it will develop 600 horsepower and reach 100 km/h in about 3.0 seconds which means it will be as faster or faster than the Tesla. Add to that over 400 kilometers of estimated range and you have an EV worth getting excited about.

In other words, as soon as something comes out on the Taycan, it gets covered up the you-know-what. Recent teaser images released by Porsche showing a very colorful Taycan from various angles are the latest glimpse at a car we can’t wait to see.

Like recent Taycan spy shots taken during winter testing, the new teaser images show a front-end that’s close to the Panamera with a relatively short hood and a rear LED bar and an adjustable rear wing. Truth is, we can’t tell a lot about these images.

When we visited the Taycan production facility back in September, we saw a few shells of the Taycan concept which leads us to believe that the production model won’t be far off the prototype we have all seen.

Well, that’s enough speculation for one day. Let’s have a look a the most recent Porsche Taycan teaser images.
