Ram Introduces 1500 Limited Black Editions and Ram HD Night Edition

The State Fair of Texas is underway and that means a lot of trucks including two new special editions for the Ram 1500 and Ram HD

Ram introduced two pickups at this year’s State Fair of Texas. The first is the Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition which features black exterior accents, a sport performance hood and 22-inch wheels. The second is the Ram Heavy Duty Night Edition based on the Big Horn or Laramie trims that features black wheels and black badging. As if it wasn’t noticeable enough already.

“Along with increasing capability, technology and efficiency, Ram is always looking for ways to create more comfort and refinement for our customers. The new Limited Black Edition is another example of how we deliver the most luxurious pickups in the industry,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand. “Additionally, the new Heavy Duty Big Horn and Laramie Night Editions now offer an even wider selection of personalized content.”

There’s a bunch of other black accents on the Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition, but we will sum it up by saying the whole darn thing is blacked out. Available starting at $75,465, it is available in both 4×2 or 4×4 configurations with the 3.0-litre V-6 EcoDiesel, 5.7-litre HEMI V-8 or 5.7-litre HEMI V-8 with eTorque.

The Ram Heavy Duty Night Edition features black 20-inch wheels up front and dual rear 17-inch black wheels with machined pockets are available. The special edition Ram HD starts at $62,840 and yes, it is available with the 6.7-litre Cummins that delivers 1,000 pound-feet of torque.
