This is not a coincidence, obviously.
The commercial post is called The Edge.
Ram wants to remind everyone that the TRX is the boss.
This banter is fantastic, entertaining, and plain silly. And true truck- and car-fans cannot help but love it. Sure, it’s a serious issue for those who have a Blue Oval tattooed on their left forearm but for FCA and Ram, it’s just fun. Today, on Raptor day, Ram reminds everyone why it’s still the Boss.
Ford must have seen this coming, especially with the fact that the 2021 Raptor does not have a V8, at least not yet. And Ram isn’t shy about pointing out all the TRX’s advantages and high-tech super-off-road-dedicated features including its Bilstein dampers.
The supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8’s output numbered are prominently displayed in the video, as are is speed prowess. They may have gone a little too far when they said “there’s no doubt others will try to follow” as everyone knows the Raptor came first, a full decade before Ram decided to do something about it.
But that’s the nature of the game. We hope this ad will push Ford to launch the Raptor R sooner and give it more beans.
