Is the Ultimate the swan song for the current Range Rover Sport?
Model gets special glass flake paint and other bespoke detailing
Land Rover is getting ready for another special edition from its SVR department. This time the Range Rover Sport is getting the treatment with a new SVR Ultimate edition adding new colour combinations and detailing to the brand’s most powerful SUV.
The Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition is the first vehicle that SVR has built that offers a new glass flake technology paint. With both the featured Maya Blue or a Gloss Marl Grey, the paintwork features delicate and reflective flakes of white glass particles in the base coat colour for “an intense star-like spectacle.” No paint repair pens for stone chips here. A satin black is also offered and they’ll all get a gloss black roof.
Other SV Bespoke details include knurling on the Range Rover hood and tailgate lettering that has been finished with white contrast edging. That same contrast colour is used for the side fender vents.
The vented hood to which those letters are affixed is made from carbon fibre. SV Bespoke has also fitted bespoke badges inserted in the B-pillar that are only visible when the front doors are opened. Black brake calipers are fitted behind the 22-inch forged alloy wheels.
Inside are special black anodized gearchange paddles as well as light-up Ultimate edition door sill plates. The recommended interior, paired with SVR-embossed lightweight Performance seats, is Ebony and Cirrus, though SV Bespoke will do what’s in their name to make the Range Rover exactly to your specifications.
The SVR Ultimate edition and its 575 hp supercharged V8 will debut at the start of next month, but order books open today.
