Refresh should include new styling and new MBUX
No revolutionary changes expected for mid-cycle update
Mercedes-Benz just teased its next model, but this one’s not another fancy EV. This time it’s the GLE that’s going to be freshened, with the full reveal of the facelift model coming early next week.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE reveal happens January 31st. We’re not expecting huge changes, but since the GLE has been on sale since 2019 there should be some significant ones.
In a teaser on Twitter, Merc showed off some of the cosmetic detail changes. Like taillights that mimic the style of the latest S-Class and an updated front grille with new headlights. Mercedes shows the rear of the GLE coupe in the teaser so we can confirm that the model is sticking around.
If the new GLE follows the path of the rest of the Mercedes lineup, it should get the latest version of the company’s MBUX infotainment system. The old trackpad that’s a carryover from the Command system will probably disappear at the same time.
Current engine options in the GLE include the 2.0L four-cylinder GLE 350, 3.0L inline-six GLE 450, and the high-power Mercedes-AMG GLE 53. No big changes are expected there, since those match the engines of the current E-Class sedan which was last facelifted and updated in 2021.
