Rivan Electric Truck, SUV Configurator Now Live

Build your electric, place an order today

  • R1T EV pickup from $94,000 Canadian

  • Add a kitchen for $7,000

You can now build and spec out your Rivian R1T electric pickup or Rivian R1S electric SUV, and that means more than just colour and features. It also includes estimated Canadian pricing for the electric models.

While they hadn’t before revealed Canadian pricing, Rivian looks to be following the Tesla practice of taking the US price and adding a dollar conversion. While that does sound like the logical choice, most automakers sell cars and trucks in Canada for market-adjusted prices.

The R1T will start from $90,000 for the Explore Package with 480 km battery. If you want the 640 km Max Pack it’ll add $14,000 to that and the Adventure Package starts from $100,000 with the same battery options. Launch Editions trucks, Rivian said, are sold out already.

Nine paint colours are available, with silver and white free and the rest between $2,000 and $3,250. An off-road Upgrade pack adds underbody shieds and air compressor for $2,750, while 20 and 22-inch wheel choices are available. A camp kitchen with induction range, sink, water tank, and pump adds $6,750.

Meanwhile, the R1S starts from $94,000 or $104,000 for the Adventure, with just the 480 km battery pack option. Colour options are the same outside, though a green and wood Forest Edge interior is available for $2,750. You can pick five or seven seats, but no kitchen is available. Both are expected to arrive in January 2022, according to the configurator.
