Rivian R1T Launch Edition Deliveries Begin In July

Rivian is about to kick off its campaign to familiarize the continent with its products


  • All R1T and R1S Launch Edition preorder holders will get news from Rivian by November.

  • Rivian’s drive program begins in August.


By the time the first Launch Edition Rivian R1Ts hit the road, the start-up EV company will have already created an entire ecosystem surrounding their products. Already, they’ve announced unique charging stations, insurance, and accessories. All that remains are the vehicles themselves and they hit the road in July, one month later than initially announced.

Rivian Shares Some New Details And Specs On The New R1T

This week, Rivian Guides will communicate with preorder holders via an introduction email with an invitation to discuss configuration, answer questions, and most importantly, share estimated delivery times.

Come August, Rivian will launch its drive program. It will include two types of experiences including at-home drives. Essentially, schedule a date and time for a test drive, and Rivian will bring a vehicle to you. There will also be tour events where preorder holders will be able to come into direct contact with R1 vehicles. The first cities Rivian will visit include Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Seattle, with more announced soon.

Launch Edition deliveries are now planned to start in July and to be completed in spring 2022.
