The Rolls-Royce Sweptail was a one-off apparently $13 million Coupe.
These design registrations look very close to the Sweptail with the exception of the roof.
Three years ago, Rolls-Royce shocked 99% of the world with its bespoke and entirely unique $13,000,000 Sweptail Coupe. These images, taken from a design filing in Brazil, show what looks to be a Sweptail with a special roof.
The reason why we think the car in these filings, first discovered by CochesSpias.net, is another Sweptail is its overall shape. The Sweptail had a rear end that tapered off in what is commonly known as a boat tail. The difference with the original one and this one is its roof – it looks like a canvas or possibly a bikini-style top as found on the Porsche 718 Boxster Spyder.
Besides the actual roof, the teak-looking vertical lines over the rear trunk lid are another indication that this could in fact be a droptop. Rolls-Royce has used this material in the past on some of its convertibles.
Most other visual elements in the drawings are nearly identical to the Sweptail. From the large front end to the seeping rear fenders. There’s an evolution in the design where the size of the front circular lamps is smaller, and the way the grille blends into the bumper but otherwise, the comparison is fair.
So far, there are no details to be found on the car. If it does happen, we can only imagine the size of its price tag.
