Big handling tweaks and new wheels for GT350
There’s not much more Mustang than Shelby these days, and there’s nothing more Shelby than Shelby American itself. What do we mean? How about two new Shelby special editions that you can add to already Shelby Ford Mustangs. Yeah, we’re confused too, but don’t worry, what matters is that they’re fast. Very fast.
The mild version, though you’ll still want to bring the Rolaids, is the GT350SE Carroll Shelby Signature Edition. Designed for already titled GT350 and GT350R Fords (from 2015-2020), the GT350SE adds front and rear springs and sway bars, caster and camber plates to help dial it all in, and 19-inch wheels with performance tires. The seats are recovered inside, there’s a load of stripes and badges and a couple of numbered plaques for good measure.
Optionally, you can get a widebody kit with painted stripes, a rear seat delete with harness bar, Sport Cup 2 Michelin tires, a dry carbon hood, and an aluminum coolant tank.
The GT500SE gets a little more (are we the only ones who read that as Goose?), starting with a supercharger pulley and larger intercooler and heat exchangers boosting power to 800+. New half shafts in the rear make sure the power makes it to the new 20-inch wheels and tires. Like the GT350SE, there are new springs and bards along with a suspension calibration and the adjustment plates.
Outside, the GT500SE gets a carbon fibre ventilated hood with Shelby hood locks, plus stripes, badges, plaques, and the new seat covers. If you’re looking at the options list, you can get a carbon fibre package, rear seat delete, stickier rubber, and a wide body kit with painted stripes.
