Stellantis EVs can Now Use Tesla Superchargers in North America, with an Adapter

• Stellantis is among the last automakers in North America to gain access to the Tesla charging network.

• Drivers will need an adapter, which can be purchased from Stellantis for U.S. $250.

• The 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona will be the first Stellantis EV fitted with a NACS port.

Months after most electric vehicles in North America, Stellantis EVs have now gained access to the Tesla Supercharging network.

Indeed, drivers of Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Fiat, and Maserati electric models are now able to use Tesla’s V3 and V4 superchargers, provided they purchase an adapter from their dealership or from Mopar directly, at a cost of $250 in the United States.

Of course, these drivers can also use a Supercharger that is equipped with the “Magic Dock” built-in adapter, even if they haven’t purchased the Stellantis adapter, but these stations are fairly rare.

Opening up the Supercharger network gives Stellantis EV owners access to more than 27,500 additional fast chargers across North America, which is especially useful in areas of the United States and Canada where the competing CCS charging network is not as comprehensive.

Another benefit is that the Supercharger network was developed with road trips in mind, most locations being strategically placed along interstate highways.

This should help make longer drives in Stellantis EVs easier and more convenient than before.

The 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona will be the first of the automaker’s electric vehicles to come from the factory with an NACS (Tesla) charging port, which will make it compatible with superchargers without the need for an adapter.

Like other automakers, Stellantis will keep transitioning its electric models to the NACS port from there, marking the end of the CCS connector that was previously standard in North America.

Looking further down the road, this move to the NACS connector for basically all EV makers in North America will homogenize the charging experience for all EV drivers and will make the charging infrastructure more efficient, since all EVs will be able to use any charging station.
