Recall affects 2019–2026 Ram 1500 pickup trucks worldwide.
About 156,000 recalled vehicles are located in Canada.
Dealers will inspect and repair rear seat belt anchors free of charge.
Stellantis has announced a global safety recall covering more than 1.5 million Ram 1500 pickup trucks after identifying a potential defect with rear seat belt buckle anchors. The campaign affects 2019 through 2026 model-year vehicles built for multiple markets.
Approximately 1.27 million recalled trucks are in the U.S. The recall also includes about 156,000 vehicles in Canada, roughly 15,000 in Mexico, and approximately 75,000 in other international markets.
According to Stellantis, some affected trucks may have been assembled with improperly secured second-row centre or driver-side rear seat belt buckle anchors. If either anchor is not correctly attached to the vehicle body, the rear restraint system may not perform as intended during a collision, increasing the risk of occupant injury.
The automaker said it is aware of one reported injury that may be related to the condition. No deaths have been linked to the issue.
Owners of affected vehicles will receive recall notifications directing them to schedule service appointments with authorized dealerships. Technicians will inspect both rear buckle anchor attachment points and, where necessary, properly secure the anchors to the body structure. Repairs will be completed at no cost to customers.

The recall applies only to 2019–2026 model-year Ram 1500 pickups. Newly announced 2027 Ram 1500 models are not included in the campaign.
Owners can determine whether their vehicle is included in the recall by checking their vehicle identification number (VIN) once recall notifications are issued or by contacting an authorized Ram dealer.
