Subaru will build 350 WRX GD25 and 300 BRZ ZC15.
Both anniversary models offered exclusively with six-speed manual transmissions.
STI accessories do not come with a power boost.
Subaru has introduced two limited-production anniversary models commemorating the U.S. launches of the WRX and BRZ. Revealed at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania, the 2027 Subaru WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15 combine historically significant chassis codes (for Subaru nerds) with unique colours and performance accessories.
Production will be restricted to only 350 WRX GD25 and 300 BRZ ZC15 for the U.S., and none for Canada. Subaru will begin accepting reservations in 2026, with BRZ deliveries scheduled for early 2027 and the WRX following during the summer.

The WRX GD25 takes its name from the GD-generation WRX that entered the U.S. market for the 2002 model year, aka the Bugeye. Subaru finished the anniversary edition exclusively in correct World Rally Blue and equipped it with also proper gold-painted 19-inch alloy wheels.
Its most visible addition is a dry carbon-fibre STI swan-neck rear wing. The component is also used by the WRX ARA25L rally car driven by Travis Pastrana in the American Rally Association championship.

Mechanical changes include a performance-tuned suspension with firmer springs and revised damper calibration. A flexible front strut-tower brace is intended to improve body rigidity. Grippy Bridgestone Potenza S007 performance tires and upgraded Brembo brakes with gold-painted callipers complete the chassis package.
Power still comes from Subaru’s turbocharged 2.4L four-cylinder engine, good for 271 hp. Symmetrical all-wheel drive, a six-speed manual transmission and an STI short-throw shifter and nob are standard. Two-pedal needn’t apply within.

Inside, the GD25 receives Recaro performance seats trimmed in black Ultrasuede with red stitching.
The BRZ ZC15 references the ZC chassis designation used by the first-generation BRZ, which arrived for 2012 alongside the Scion FR-S. It wears an exclusive Ceramic White finish with matte-bronze wheels, bronze lower-body decals and gold Brembo brake callipers. The colour combination recalls the limited 2020 BRZ tS.

Additional exterior and chassis details include a black rear spoiler and an underhood flexible V-bar. Its naturally aspirated 2.4L engine still produces 228 hp and sends power exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
Black leather upholstery with Bordeaux-red inserts highlights the cabin. Subaru also installs an STI aluminum-and-leather short shifter and a numbered ZC15 anniversary plaque.
Pricing and final specifications will be released closer to launch.
