Subaru Unveils 2026 WRX and BRZ Series.Yellow Editions with STI Hardware and Custom Styling

U.S.-only special edition WRX and BRZ models get Sunrise Yellow paint and manual gearboxes

  • Subaru limits WRX and BRZ Series.Yellow production to 350 units each for 2026

  • Both models feature Sunrise Yellow exteriors and matte black wheels

  • Manual-only drivetrains and STI-tuned components included in both editions

Subaru has revealed two limited-edition models, the 2026 WRX Series.Yellow and 2026 BRZ Series.Yellow, days ahead of their public debut at Boxerfest 2025 in York, Pennsylvania on September 14. Each vehicle will be offered in the U.S. only, with a limited production run of 350 units, and will be based on the performance-oriented TS trims of their respective lineups. Canada loves yellow cars, too, but I guess we’re not worthy…

The Series.Yellow designation introduces a very distinctive Sunrise Yellow exterior colour and matte black wheels, coupled with yellow-accented interior stitching across seats, dash, and door panels. Both models are offered exclusively with 6-speed manual transmissions and incorporate unique suspension hardware and interior appointments.

The 2026 Subaru WRX Series.Yellow caries the standard Rex’s 271-horsepower, 2.4-litre turbocharged BOXER engine paired with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The model includes electronically controlled, STI-tuned adjustable dampers, high-performance Brembo braking, and 19-inch matte black alloy wheels equipped with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires. Interior features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 11.6-inch centre touchscreen, and Recaro Performance Design front seats with yellow contrast accents.

The rear-wheel drive 2026 Subaru BRZ Series.Yellow uses the standard 228-horsepower, 2.4-litre naturally aspirated BOXER engine with a 6-speed close-ratio manual gearbox. STI-tuned Hitachi dampers, Brembo brakes, and 18-inch matte black wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires wrap up the improvements. The interior features black upholstery with yellow contrast stitching across the front seats, steering wheel, and gear shifter.

Subaru has not yet announced pricing for either model. Additional details are expected to be released closer to the market launch.
