TECHART is a world-renown tuner and manufacturer that specializes in taking Porsche products to the next level. Their latest 911 GTstreet RS is their latest creation.
The Leonberg, Germany, based company has created countless mega high-show and super-go tuned Porsches over the years but it’s the GTstreet RS cars that are perhaps most interesting. Before we go on, we’ll admit to having a soft spot for the TECHART GrandGT based on the Sport Turismo Panamera. Check out the interior specs and pictures for this one. The “Supreme” accoutrements certainly are exactly that.
The reason why TECHART is considered a manufacturer, like RUF for example, is that every inch of the car is touched, revised, reviewed, re-tweaked and depending on personal tastes, made better.
The new TECHART GTstreet RS starts off as a 991.2 911 Turbo S and is transformed into “a highly individualized street-legal race car, suitable for daily use.” The exterior aero treatment is extensive and goes from tip to numerous oversized tails, to the centre-locking forged 20-inch TECHART Formula IV wheels to the very top of the custom-painted roof.
In the “go” category, the Turbo S sees its power rise thanks to newly developed VTG turbochargers from 580-horsepower by an extra 190-horsepower for a grand total of 770. Torque increases to 679 lb.-ft. while the 0-100km/h time drops to 2.5 seconds and the 0-200 km/h falls to 8.1 seconds. The GTstreet RS retains the services of the 7-speed PDK transmission and AWD setup.
There are no details on the pricing for the new 911 GTstreet RS but figure that a base new Turbo S retails for just under $220,000 CDN. We’re certain that with little effort, the number doubles before you know it.
Even if you do have the necessary coin, you’ll have make haste as only 10 are expected to be built and sold.
