Tesla Holiday Update: New Light Show and More

  • Tesla 2021.44.25 update brings new features including extending the Light Show function to the rest of the lineup

  • The infotainment system has also been improved with the Tesla Holiday Update

As usual, Tesla has released an update just before the holiday season that includes some fun new features and added functionality to the infotainment system.

The Tesla 2021.44.25 update will be available to Tesla owners in the coming days and will add several new capabilities, including to the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y.

Tesla’s Light Show Expands to the Range

We could argue for a long time about the usefulness of Tesla’s Light Show, the feature that, once activated, starts a choreographed dance that uses the speakers and headlights, all to the background of holiday music. First introduced on the Tesla Model X, the feature also activated the Tesla SUV’s falcon doors. It won’t solve the world’s problems, but it will impress the heck out of your neighbours.

Other entertainment features also include the addition of Sonic the Hedgehog and Soduku games in the center screen. In addition, users will be able to watch Tik Tok videos in the vehicle.

New Navigation System

The Tesla update also includes the addition of the Edit Waypoints feature that allows users to add multiple stops in the navigation system and configure the stops more easily while updating the arrival time with each change.

The multimedia system has also been improved to simplify access to the most frequently used functions such as media and navigation. Also, the screen will have a Dark Mode function that reduces glare.

New Safety Features

The blind spot camera now activates when the turn signal is activated, giving the driver better visibility.

Finally, it is easier to control the dashcam and it is possible to delete videos from the central screen. It will also be possible to activate the cab’s preheating functions even if the battery is low.
