Tesla Model B Pickup Is Real – Or Is Musk Trolling His Followers?

A series of recent tweets from Elon Musk all share memes involving “bees” leading many fans to think this will be the Tesla Pickup’s name.

We’re all used to Elon Musk’s use of twitter as a means to share information about his many business ventures. Of those, Tesla has an enormous following and a recent crop of tweets over the last week or so all feature bees or the word “bee”. This is leading many to believe that the next Tesla vehicle in the pipeline, the Pickup, will be known as the Model B.

Musk has been talking about the Tesla Pickup for some time, even referring to it as his favorite project so far. No hints were ever dropped as to the Pickup’s name but this series of tweets might serve as a hint.

As we know, the current line-up, which consists of the S, 3, X, Y and “R”oadster spell out a word of sorts. The B, according to fan tweets, could fit in at the very beginning and spell out B-S-3-X-Y-R, or “be sexier…”

We admittedly enjoy the game that Elon is playing with his fans. We think we’ll enjoy the “Model B” when it arrives in the future. Musk says that the base truck will retail for under $50k USD and depending on trim and powertrain options, will offer a range of up to 500 miles (800km) and tow 300,000. It’ll probably be really fast too.
