A leaked document by a US dealer mentions that the upcoming 2020 Honda Ridgeline will get a hybrid powertrain.
Just last month, Honda unveiled the refreshed 2020 CR-V that includes, in the United States, a new hybrid variant. Now, apparently, the 2020 Honda Ridgeline will go hybrid too!
According to a leaked document from a US Honda dealer, the Ridgeline Hybrid is indeed a version that should soon appear to an American dealership near you. The document, that is now deleted, gave a few details about the upcoming model.
Honda of Covington mentioned the refreshed 2020 Honda Ridgeline to get the option of a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, without giving much more info. The 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is powered by the same 2.0L Atkinson cycle i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine developing a combined total of 212 horsepower.
Other than that, the rejuvenated pickup is said to get a revised front-end featuring a new grille and new headlights. The interior is also said to get some tweaks.
Digital Trends reached out to Honda to get more details about the 2020 Ridgeline. The Japanese manufacturer said the info leaked by Honda of Covington was not official.
That being said, we’ll have to wait and see if Honda will unveil a Ridgeline Hybrid to further electrify their lineup.
