Unveiled in June, the Hyundai Venue’s un-identical twin will arrive in Canada next year.
One of the latest additions in Kia’s lineup, the Seltos, will be coming to Canada. Earlier this week we were at the 2020 Kia Forte launch where we, as well as our colleagues over at Le Guide de l’Auto, got the confirmation from the manufacturer.
The Seltos, a name derived from Hercules’ son Celtos in the Greek mythology, will be aimed directly at millennials. Indeed, Kia said earlier that it will be “aimed at youthful, tech-savvy buyers.”
Since the 2020 Kia Seltos is the Hyundai Venue’s un-identical twin, we can surely expect it to be powered by the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable automatic gearbox.
In India, one of the first country where the Seltos was marketed, the compact SUV is packed with technologies. The 2020 Seltos features a Bose premium sound system with 8 speakers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO, ventilated and power seats, a head up display and LED headlamps with DRLs among others.
More info will be given by Kia Canada closer to its launch date but so far, we can expect the Kia Seltos to arrive on our shores early next year. Upon its arrival, it will compete with the Nissan Kicks, the Ford EcoSport and of course the Hyundai Venue to name a few.
