Toyota unveiled a brand-new generation of its Sienna minivan for 2021, but some small changes will be made to the 2022 version, for which the company has just released the prices and equipment lists.
The Sienna is only available with Toyota’s hybrid system, which uses a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and electric assistance to produce 245 horsepower and return a fuel economy rating of 6.5L/100 km combined for the front-wheel drive models and 6.7L/100 km for the all-wheel drive equipped models. Every Sienna can also tow up to 3,500 pounds.
The Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite of driver assistance features is standard, including forward collision alert with pedestrian and cyclist detection and adaptive cruise control.
The Sienna offers 5 trim levels for 2022, some of which can be ordered with or without the AWD system.
The base model is the Sienna LE which carries a base price of $40,490 for the FWD version and $42,350 to have power going to all wheels. It comes equipped with power sliding doors, heated front seats and steering wheel and a 9-inch touch screen, among other features.
The XLE is only available in front wheel drive for $43,490 and it adds a sunroof, foot operated sensors for the power sliding doors and the liftgate and seats finished in SofTex simulated leather to the LE’s list of features.
The XSE is a sportier looking minivan which has a similar content list as the XLE but with added styling elements, for the starting price of $46,050 for FWD and $48,050 for AWD.
The XSE Technology adds some elements from the Limited to the regular XSE, such as the JBL sound system and the digital rear-view mirror, for $51,550 with FWD or $53,550 with AWD.
The Limited is the most expensive version of the sienna, at $58,750. It comes standard with AWD and it adds real leather, a JBL premium sound system, heated rear seats, heated and ventilated front seats, 360-degree cameras and foot rests in the second row.
The 2022 Sienna has already reached Toyota dealerships across Canada.
