It will be produced in limited numbers.
Yes, that’s Ford’s Coyote V8 under the hood.
This Ford Performance Bronco DR isn’t for street use.
Ford will have to buckle under the pressure that they’ve now added on their own shoulders. From the onset, the fans and customers of the Big Bronco have been clamouring for a V8 engine option. Now, it’s possible to get exactly that but it’s not quite designed for terrorizing mall lots.
Ford Performance has released this video showing the Bronco’s journey as a Baja racer since 1969 and their subsequent efforts and successes from the last few years. Now, and for the first time ever, they are introducing the 2023 Ford Bronco DR, a limited-edition turnkey desert racer.
The video demonstrates how capable the DR is and audibly, gives away the presence of Ford’s Coyote 5.0-litre V8. Output numbers are not shared. One word comes up on the screen that proves how serious this truck is about the business that is desert racing: Multimatic. This refers to the truck’s suspension which will feature DSSV (Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve) dampers. This same technology is used on the incredible Ford GT and many other exceptional vehicles.
The 2023 Ford Bronco DR will be offered in limited numbers and become available in the fall of 2022.
