The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is Now Up to $13,000 Cheaper in Canada

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is now significantly cheaper than it was only a few days ago.

  • All models of the electric SUV are now $5,000 cheaper, except for the GT Performance Edition, which is $13,000 less expensive.

  • This means that all Mach-E models are eligible for federal and QC provincial rebates, again except for the GT Performance.

  • It isn’t clear if incoming 2024 models will be offered at the same prices.

Ford has suddenly cut the prices for the 2023 Mustang Mach-E in Canada, by up to $13,000 for the GT Performance Edition.

Indeed, every version of the American electric crossover is now $5,000 more affordable than just last week, except for the aforementioned top-of-the-line GT Performance Edition.

The most affordable 2023 Mach-E, the Select RWD Standard Range, is thus now offered at an MSRP of $51,995. Adding all-wheel drive makes for a total of $54,995.

Next in the lineup is the Premium Standard Range, which costs $56,995 with rear-wheel drive and $59,996 with all-wheel drive.

Choosing the Extended Range version of the Premium trim level comes at a price of $61,995 or $64,995 with RWD and AWD respectively.

For the same price as the Premium Extended Range eAWD, buyers can choose the Mustang Mach-E California Route 1 eAWD Extended Range, the version that offers the longest electric range in the lineup, with a targeted figure of 502 kilometres on a full charge.

Finally, the GT Performance Edition trim level brings a higher standard of performance to the Mach-E, at a price of $69,995. This version previously sold for almost $83,000.

More than just lowering the MSRP of the Mustang Mach-E, this round of price reductions has made it so that every trim level is eligible for federal EV rebates, making the SUV cheaper by an additional $5,000.

Furthermore, all models except the GT Performance Edition also qualify for Quebec provincial incentives of $7,000, which means that the effective starting price for the Ford Mustang Mach-E is now $40,000 in the province.

The automaker has not said why it chose to reduce the prices of its electric SUV so significantly, but the imminent arrival of 2024 models and the slow sales of the 2023 version might have something to do with it.

At the moment, we don’t know if the upcoming 2024 models of the Mustang Mach-E will carry the same reduced asking prices, or if they will bounce back to their previous level.
