This is a $3,050 increase over the 2022 base model
The new Hybrid version will cost $48,890
The new 2023 CR-V is already available for orders and deliveries should begin in the fall
Honda announced today the Canadian prices for the new 2023 CR-V, which sees a $3,050 increase in the base price.
This means that the entry-level LX will now start at $34,790 in two-wheel drive form or $37,540 with the all-wheel drive system. As part of the generation change, these models have gained a new 7-inch infotainment display, and they benefit from standard Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
The Sport is the next trim level in the lineup and it adds leather to the steering wheel and the shift lever, as well as exclusive 18-inch wheels and gloss black accents on the outside for an MSRP of $41,490.
The EX-L justifies its higher starting price of $43,390 by adding the leather upholstery, a wireless phone charger, the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a larger 9-inch infotainment screen.
All of these versions are powered by the standard 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that already equipped the previous generation in the last few years. Combined with the standard CVT transmission, this powertrain is capable of producing 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque that is sent to all four wheels in every model except the 2WD LX.
New for 2023 in Canada is the hybrid version, which sees a different powertrain take place under the hood in order to offer more power and a lower fuel consumption.
With the help of an electric motor, the 2.0L four-cylinder engine is capable of delivering 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, while burning only 6.0 L/100 km in the city.
The Touring trim level will be the only one offered with the hybrid powertrain and it will be the only one to benefit from its advantages.
This means that buyers who want to have a Hybrid CR-V in 2023 will need to fork over $48,890, which will also give them access to a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system and a number of other tech and comfort features.
The 2023 Honda CR-V can already be pre-ordered at any of the brand’s dealerships across the country and the first units should make it to their owner by the end of fall.
