A new paint colour and black leatherette upholstery have been added this year.
The MX-30 EV will now be available across Canada.
No word yet on the range-extending version that will be unveiled this week.
Mazda Canada released the pricing and trim information for the 2023 MX-30 EV today ahead of its commercial debut in February.
The electric MX-30 has been sold in Quebec and British Columbia since the fall of 2021 but this year will see its introduction to every Mazda dealership across the country.
Starting at $42,650, the 2023 MX-30 EV will be $500 more expensive than last year’s model in entry-level GS trim and in upgraded GT trim, which will now cost $47,650.
Despite the plug-in version equipped with a rotary range extender being about to be unveiled later in the week, Mazda hasn’t announced its pricing for 2023.
The MX-30 EV will continue to be powered by a 35.5 kWh battery which gives it about 161 kilometres of range on a charge.
Changes for 2023 are limited to a new paint colour called Zircon Sand and a new black leatherette interior, which is now standard.
The GS model will continue to be equipped with features such as heated seats, a heated steering wheel, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Mazda Connected Services, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, and a full list of i-Activsense driver assistance features such as radar cruise control, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection.
The GT model adds a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a 10-way power driver’s seat with a memory function, adaptive headlamps, a 360-degree camera, a moonroof, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Traffic Jam Assist, front cross-traffic alert, and emergency lane keeping assist.
The MX-30 GT is also available with the whole palette of available paint colours, most of which have seen their price increased by $50 except Soul Red Metallic, which actually dropped by $200 and now costs $700.
