The XT4 gets a mid-cycle refresh in 2024.
Changes mostly affect the front end and the dashboard of the small SUV.
A number of new technologies have also been added.
Cadillac announced that its smallest SUV, the XT4, will receive a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 model year.
The XT4 has been the brand’s entry-level model since its introduction in 2019, but this doesn’t prevent it from taking inspiration from its new flagship vehicles.
Indeed, Cadillac says the restyle of the XT4 will allow it to more closely resemble the Escalade and the Lyriq, two of its most expensive and recognizable models.
From the outside, the changes are most apparent in front, where the XT4 receives new LED headlamps and a new grille. The headlamps are similar to those found on the electric Lyriq since they consist of a vertical LED stripe that runs down from the fenders to the middle of the bumper and a stack of three projector modules on each side.
In addition to this, a small horizontal portion at the edge of the hood could house the turn signals. The grille is more reminiscent of the Escalade since is vaguely in the shape of the Cadillac logo and it features gloss black individual cells. New wheel designs are also included for two of the three trim levels.
Inside, the 2024 XT4 benefits from a new 33-inch screen that integrates both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment display in a single curved screen, as can be seen in the Lyriq.
In addition to a larger screen, the XT4’s infotainment system is also renewed with the arrival of Google built-in, which includes Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been made standard, and drivers can also choose to use Amazon Alexa if they prefer.
Every trim level can also be ordered with a new AKG 13-speaker premium audio system, and the Premium Luxury and Sport models offer the Active Safety Package which adds new active safety features such as Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, traffic sign recognition, and speed limit assist. The included Emergency Braking Assist and Lane Keeping Assist systems have also been enhanced for 2024.
Under the hood, the Cadillac XT4 continues to be powered by a 235 horsepower 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, and an available twin-clutch all-wheel drive system.
Pricing information for all three trim levels of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 in Canada will be announced ahead of the first deliveries, which are planned for this summer.
