The smallest of Chevrolet’s Crossovers benefits from a new face and a new dashboard.
Larger wheels and new paint colours are also added.
The Trailblazer continues to offer both 1.2L and 1.3L turbocharged 3-cylinder engines.
Chevrolet has unveiled a refreshed version of the small Trailblazer SUV for the 2024 model year which features a revised front end and larger screens inside.
The Trailblazer has been the smaller crossover in the brand’s lineup since its introduction in 2021. Despite it being only three years old, this model has been treated to a mid-cycle makeover that sees changes to the front end, the wheels, the paint colours, and the dashboard design.
The new front end features a larger grille and slimmer LED daytime running lights that bring the overall look closer to that of the entirely new 2024 Trax that was launched a few months ago.
The taillamps have also been revised to adopt what looks to be two “U” shaped lighted elements next to each other instead of the stretched “X” design of the previous model.
Inside, the 2024 Trailblazer is significantly modified since it abandons its traditional instrument cluster in favour of a new 8-inch screen that displays the driving information. This new screen combines with a larger 11-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system to form an almost continuous panel of screens from the left side of the dashboard up to the middle of the center console.
This design is very familiar since it has been seen in most General Motors electric vehicles based on the new Ultium platform that have been unveiled over the past few years, as well as the new Trax.
Unlike these EVs however, the 2024 Trailblazer continues to be powered by gasoline engines. Indeed, the 2024 version will feature the same turbocharged 3-cylinder engines as the 2023 model: a 1.2L version that makes 137 horsepower and a 1.3L unit that makes 155 horsepower.
Changes for 2024 are rounded out by larger 19-inch wheels for the sporty RS model and two new paint colours called Copper Harbour Metallic and Cacti Green, the latter of which has already been seen on the new Trax.
The refreshed 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer should arrive at dealerships around the US and Canada in the fall.
