The 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor and Raptor R trims introduce enhanced FOX Dual Live Valve shocks and exclusive design elements for superior off-road performance.
· Advanced FOX Dual Live Valve shocks enhance both off-road and on-road driving experiences.
· Raptor showcases a modular front bumper, wider tow hooks, and a blackout grille treatment.
· 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor R will be the most powerful pickup truck on the market.
One of the most remarkable upgrades is the introduction of the FOX Dual Live Valve shocks. These shocks, an evolution of the FOX Live-Valve shock technology from the 2019 model, offer position-sensitive compression control as standard on the Ford F-150 Raptor R. The new continuously variable rebound controls, underpinned by Dual Live Valve technology, significantly enhance both off-road and on-road dynamics.
These advanced shocks are particularly good at adapting damping to match various off-road conditions, thanks to Ford Performance-developed algorithms. The ability to adjust in real-time, hundreds of times per second, ensures the Raptor responds seamlessly to changing terrains.
Accompanying the Dual Live Valve shocks is the five-link rear suspension system, first introduced in 2021. This system boasts features like extra-long trailing arms and 24-inch coil springs, optimized for high-speed desert traversals, ensuring unparalleled stability and traction.
Externally, the Raptor trims don’t disappoint. The new modular front bumper, tailored for 37-inch tires, exposes more of the front tire compared to traditional designs, enhancing the vehicle’s aggressive stance. This bumper also supports a light bar attachment for nighttime off-road adventures. Moreover, forged tow hooks, broader than standard offerings, and a wide blackout grille with new headlamps further elevate the Raptor’s rugged appearance.

The Raptor R stands out with a distinctive Power Dome on the hood, reinforcing its dominant presence. Both trims, however, receive fresh color updates for 2024. The Raptor-exclusive Shelter Green exterior color is a notable addition, complementing both forest and desert landscapes. Both V6 and V8 models can be adorned with new symmetrical hood graphics and distinct “Raptor” graphics. The Raptor R trim is further distinguished by unique graphics and a blend of Code Orange and Carbonized Gray colors, cementing its identity as the pinnacle of off-road prowess.
No word on performance figures just yet, but a Ford spokesperson told MotorIllustrated.com that the Raptor R will be the most powerful pickup truck on the market. Pricing starts at $106,500.
