The 2024 EV9 stands out as Kia’s pioneering three-row EV SUV, positioned a segment above with ultra-luxury SUV features. Furthermore, it promises a rapid recharge, achieving 10 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes on high-speed DC chargers. Available in Light, Wind, Land, and GT-Line trim levels, consumers will have the flexibility of two battery sizes and either rear-wheel drive or dual-motor AWD configurations. The EV9’s anticipated release is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023, with advance reservations available soon at participating dealers.

Performance is central to the EV9. Based on the E-GMP platform, the SUV offers two powertrain options. The base model features a 76.1-kWh battery paired with a 160-kW motor for the rear wheels. For those desiring more power and range, an optional 99.8-kWh battery is available either in a single-motor (201-hp) setup aiming for 483 kilometres (300 miles) of all-electric range or a dual-motor AWD configuration, boasting 283-kW (379-hp) and a torque of up to 700 Nm (516 lb.-ft.).

Visually, the EV9 promises to be a head-turner. The exterior showcases a triumphant blend of rugged sophistication, capturing the essence of a flagship SUV. Unique design elements like the Digital Tiger Face, a reinterpretation of the iconic Kia “Tiger Nose” grille, and the innovative Digital Pattern Lighting Grille elevate the SUV’s aesthetics. Moreover, the interior is an embodiment of modern luxury, inspired by the much-celebrated Telluride interior. High-quality materials, dual 12.3-inch screens, and advanced features contribute to a plush and intuitive in-cabin experience.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) elevate the EV9’s safety offerings. The new Advanced Highway Driving Assist (AHDA) technology, using LiDAR, will be introduced, bolstering Kia’s comprehensive suite of ADAS features designed to enhance safety and driving ease.

Kia’s commitment to staying ahead in the tech curve is evident in the EV9’s features. The vehicle will support Over-the-Air software updates, ensuring that it remains contemporary throughout ownership. With the ultramodern Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) system, the EV9 provides seamless integration with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a plethora of digital features accessible via the Kia Connect Store.
