Sharp Coupe Exterior Aesthetics

The CLE 53 Coupe’s exterior is characterized by its long hood with distinct power domes, a sharply angled windshield, and a gradually sloping rear roofline. The front features a “shark nose” design, housing the AMG-specific radiator grille and LED headlights, with the option of DIGITAL LIGHT headlights for enhanced visibility and style. The vehicle’s stance is accentuated by flared wheel arches, a broadened track compared to the standard Mercedes-Benz CLE, and standard 19-inch wheels, with 20-inch wheels optionally available.

Inside, the vehicle boasts the latest generation MBUX infotainment system, encompassing a 12.3-inch digital driver display and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen display. The cabin is illuminated with 64-color dynamic ambient lighting, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Standard sporty integral seats are adorned with MB-Tex/microfiber and red contrast stitching, while various leather upholstery options, including Nappa leather, are available. The AMG Performance steering wheel, fitted as standard, integrates controls for various dynamic driving functions and AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs.

Powertrain: Robust and Efficient

Powered by an advanced AMG-enhanced 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine, the CLE 53 Coupe integrates an exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor, aka, an electric supercharger. This engine efficiently generates 443 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, which can momentarily escalate to 443 lb-ft through overboost. An integral part of this system is the 48-volt integrated starter generator, contributing an extra 23 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque. The power is delivered through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission, flowing into the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive system.

Dynamic Driving Experience

The CLE 53 Coupe features diverse AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs, including modes like “Slippery,” “Comfort,” “Sport,” and “Sport+,” allowing drivers to tailor the vehicle’s performance to their preferences. AMG DYNAMICS is integrated within these programs to optimize vehicle control, adjusting elements like the ESP and all-wheel drive. The vehicle is equipped with AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension, three-stage AMG speed-sensitive steering, and standard rear-axle steering, enhancing both maneuverability and stability.

Customization and Additional Features

For additional customization, optional packages such as the AMG Performance Studio Package and the AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package are available. These offer aesthetic enhancements and performance upgrades.

Furthermore, the CLE 53 Coupe emphasizes safety alongside performance. It is equipped with advanced driver-assist systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and an advanced parking assist system, ensuring a high level of safety and convenience. The vehicle’s aerodynamic design not only contributes to its striking appearance but also enhances fuel efficiency and stability at high speeds.
