The new Impreza will be offered in four trim levels.
All versions are equipped with all-wheel drive, EyeSight, and a CVT transmission.
The sporty RS trim level makes a return to the Impreza lineup for the first time since 2005.
Subaru Canada has announced the pricing and specifications of the new 2024 Impreza for the Canadian market, where the five-door hatchback will start at $26,795.
While Subaru never makes drastic changes to the appearance of its models when introducing a new generation, it has made significant modifications to the lineup of the new Impreza.
Indeed, the automaker discontinued the sedan and the manual transmission in order to keep only the five-door hatchback and the CVT transmission on offer.
This has considerably reduced the lineup, which now only includes four trim levels, one of which is a tribute to the model’s past.
Starting with the entry-level Convenience version, the Impreza comes standard with the company’s renowned Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system and a revised version of its EyeSight suite of active safety technologies.
Due to a new wide-angle camera, this system is now better at detecting pedestrians and cyclists who are about to cross in front of the vehicle, according to Subaru.
In addition, the base Impreza also comes with a 2.0L Boxer engine that delivers 152 horsepower, a 7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and steering-responsive automatic LED headlamps with auto-high beams.
Stepping up to the $29,995 Touring model also brings an 11.6-inch tablet-style infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 3-years of Subaru Starlink connected services, LED fog lights, LED turn signal repeaters in the mirrors, premium cloth upholstery with red stitching, leather on the heated steering wheel and the shifter, smart-key access with push-button start, paddle shifters, a drive mode selector, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and 17-inch black alloy wheels.
For the first time since 2005, the Subaru Impreza will be available in Canada in the sporty RS trim level. As it was back then, this $31,795 model is powered by a 2.5L Boxer engine. This powertrain delivers 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, 30 and 33 more than the standard engine respectively.
In addition to its stronger engine, this model also stands out from other Impreza versions with its unique badging and its black accents found on the exterior mirrors, side spoilers, 18-inch alloy wheels, and the front grille.
Inside, the 2024 Impreza RS also comes with sport front seats upholstered in black and red cloth, aluminum pedals, gunmetal and simulated carbon fibre accents, RS logos, red accented gauges, a cargo cover, a sunroof, and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Finally, the $34,795 Sport-tech is the most expensive Impreza in 2024. For this price, buyers will receive leather upholstery, sliver grille accents, distinctive 18-inch alloy wheels, built-in navigation, the DriverFocus distraction mitigation system, Reverse Automatic Braking, and emergency automatic steering.
