Four powertrains are offered, including hybrid and all-wheel drive options.
Ten trim levels are available for the 2024 Camry.
Prices are about $800 to $1,200 higher than in 2023.
Toyota released the pricing and specifications for the 2024 Camry in Canada yesterday, showing roughly the same powertrain and trim level offerings as before as well as slightly higher prices.
The Camry is due for a refresh soon, possibly for the 2025 model year, but in the meantime, the current model will return mostly unchanged for one more year.
As before, Toyota’s midsize sedan is offered with four powertrain options, starting with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that delivers 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
This powertrain comes standard in the SE model and a modified version featuring an all-wheel drive system that can send up to 50% of the engine’s torque to the rear axle is standard in the SE AWD and XSE AWD models.
Also available is a hybrid system based on the same 2.5L engine that replaces the transmission with a CVT unit and two electric motors. This combination works together to generate 208 horsepower and a lower fuel consumption than the fully gasoline-powered model.
This hybrid powertrain is standard in most trim levels, including the Hybrid LE, Hybrid XLE, Hybrid SE Upgrade, and Hybrid XSE.
One big difference over the 2023 Camry is that the top-of-the-line 3.5L V6 engine is now reserved only for the sporty TRD model. This powertrain delivers 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels using an 8-speed automatic transmission.
SE
The 2024 Toyota Camry lineup starts with the $30,990 SE. This version is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, cloth and leatherette upholstery, and a 4.2-inch driver information display.
Ordering the SE Upgrade package bumps the price up to $33,630 and adds a 9-inch touchscreen, 18-inch alloy wheels, connected services, a moonroof, dual-zone climate controls, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and wireless phone charging.
Adding all-wheel drive to either model also comes with a 7-inch driver information display, at a cost of $32,790 for the SE AWD, and $35,430 for the SE Upgrade AWD.
XSE AWD
The $38,790 Camry XSE AWD builds on the SE Upgrade AWD model by adding features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, and a moonroof. To support its sporty appearance, this model also receives slightly more power than the other models sharing the same powertrain, with an output of 205 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque.
Hybrid LE
The most affordable hybrid Toyota Camry in 2024 will be the $32,690 Hybrid LE. This version comes standard with items such as LED headlamps and taillamps, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable heated front seats, a 4.2-inch driver information display, a 7-inch touchscreen, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Hybrid SE Upgrade
This $35,930 version brings the sportier design of the SE model to the Hybrid Camry range with items such as a sport suspension and a rear spoiler. Other features found on the gasoline-powered SE Upgrade are also standard.
Hybrid XSE
Priced at $39,290, the Hybrid XSE is a better-appointed version of the SE that features the same equipment with the addition of 19-inch alloy wheels, premium LED headlamps and taillamps, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and a 7-inch driver information display.
Hybrid XLE
The $41,490 XLE grade builds on the Hybrid LE with additions that include a 9-speaker JBL premium sound system, a 9-inch touchscreen, additional connected services, different 18-inch alloy wheels, premium LED headlamps and taillamps, ventilated front seats, a 10-inch head-up display, ambient lighting, a 7-inch driver information display, and a 360-degree camera system, among others. This model doesn’t share the SE and XSE’s sporty design features, presenting as a more traditional premium midsize model instead.
TRD
In addition to being the only 2024 Camry offered with the V6 engine, the $38,300 TRD stands out with its many distinctive elements that include a performance suspension system, additional chassis bracing, 19-inch TRD wheels, a TRD exhaust, a TRD body kit, a unique spoiler, SofTex upholstered seats with red stitching, aluminum sport pedals, and a TRD shift knob.
Sales of the 2024 Toyota Camry have already begun at the brand’s dealerships all across Canada.
