The video shows a non-turbo V16 car being track tested.
With the quad turbos, the Sixteen is said to produce over 5,000 horsepower.
Devel is a Dubai-based automaker.
The car world had all but forgotten about the Devel Sixteen, a super-hyper-ultra-mega car that was touted as being the most powerful production car ever. It disappeared almost nine years ago but now development footage has just been made public.
Although a few videos surfaced in 2018 and 2019, little had been seen or heard of the Devel Sixteen. The latter gets its name from its twin LS V8 engine setup that will, with turbochargers, produce 3,000 horsepower in its de-tuned form, or up to 5,007 horsepower. A single V8 model will also be available with only 1,500 horsepower.
The video, released on YouTube, shows a Sixteen undergoing some testing ahead of the turbos being installed. From the brief video, we can see the car being driven somewhat hard but we can hardly say there’s big performance going on. That will surely change once the boost is dialed in.
The Defining Extreme Vehicles Car Industry LLC company is behind the Devel Sixteen. In the past, pricing had been announced at between $1.6 million and $2 million depending on the selected output.
