The Electric Rivian R1T Pickup In Living Colour

A Rivian enthusiast paints a beautiful R1T pickup in colour

  • Rivianforums users have been busy making the R1T look very real.

  • From a Rivian video posted in April, they were able to reproduce the colour swathes and paste on the pickup.

  • This colour information was not officially confirmed by Rivian but we’re going with it.

Here’s a fun rainbow-like spectrum of colours to admire the hotly-anticipated Rivian R1T pickup in. While watching a recent video published by Rivian on its YouTube channel, a crafty user on the rivianforums captured colour samples and reproduced them. The results are surprisingly good.

aAlpine on the forums took some screenshots of the colour frames in the video and applied the hues on a RIvian-supplied image of the R1T pickup. Although the truck is obviously real, it’s never looked more appealing especially in Sunset or Burnt Orange. The Forest Green one is also to our liking. In fact, we spotted the Forest Green R1S at the 2018 LA Auto Show and were immediately smitten by the shade’s richness, and the how it seems very much at home on the truck.

Rivian R1T and R1S EVs Delayed Until 2021 Due To COVID-19

While these colours have not been officially confirmed by Rivian at this time, they are sadly also suffering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. They announced last month that their vehicles will be delayed until 2021.
