Only 30 units of the Audi R8 V10 Limited Edition will be available.
Both the Coupe and Spyder will be offered in specific colours.
This is not the end for the Audi R8 V10 Performance, however.
The good news is that the 602 horsepower Audi R8 Performance will still be available starting at a cool $195,900 US. The “bad” news is that the 562 horsepower Audi R8 V10 quattro will leave the lineup for good with the final Limited Edition version.
The aptly named Limited Edition R8 V10 will be offered in only 30 examples. They will be recognizable by their unique silver 20-inch milled wheels, carbon exterior lower trim, and alu-optic mirror caps. As well, the Coupe will be available in either Mugello Blue, Avus Silver, or Sonoma Green hues while all the Spyders will be Mugello Blue.
The breakdown will be as follows. For the Coupe: 15 Mugello Blue with pastel silver interior, five Avus Silver with black interior and red stitching, and five Sonoma Green with black interior and gray stitching. Five Spyders will be offered solely in Mugello Blue with pastel silver interior.
What’s most interesting with the Limited Edition R8 V10 is that the cars will feature some technologies and accessories that were until reserved exclusively for the V10 Performance. Namely, they will get a carbon fiber front sway bar, and the sport exhaust system.
If you’re on the fence about buying one, do remember that the 5.2-litre V10 produces 562 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, is mated to a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro, hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and top out at 201 mph.
The farewell Limited Edition R8 V10 quattro goes on sale this summer with a starting price of $186,000 for the Coupe and $195,900 for the Spyder, in the US.
