Currently, the new Fiat Pulse is only offered in Brazil.
The Pulse is a Nissan Kicks-sized small crossover.
The Abarth version will spice it up.
Fiat needs more than a shot in the arm if it hopes to survive much longer in North America. Over the last 11 years in Canada and the US, Fiat has done little more than push the 500 in all shapes and sizes. While the small 500 was novel at first, interest quickly wore off and the 500L and 500X were flops. Perhaps someone should check Fiat’s Pulse.
Assuming that Fiat wants to stay “small”, there’s no sense rebadging a Cherokee but introducing a new small CUV could be a way to refocus consumer attention on Fiat, and not the played-out 500. Stellantis?
The Pulse would rival the Nissan Kicks and Chevrolet Trailblazer, to name a few options, and would probably do ok. Focusing, once more, the introductory campaign on the Abarth version of the Pulse would, in our opinion, and we can’t help it, raise awareness and pulses…
At the moment, the Fiat Pulse is assembled in Brazil and only sold in the South American country. Why we bring it up today is because Fiat’s just introduced the Abarth version, the first there since the 2014 500 Abarth. They’ve not shared any details however it’s sure to be good fun to drive and loud.
