Production by Magna is still set to begin on November 17th however there are already at least 55 units currently undergoing testing. Magna continues to assemble prototypes that will be crashed or evaluated for their safety, powertrain performance, and much more.
“We are delighted to announce that the 5,000 limited edition Fisker Ocean One pre-order units are completely sold out, thanks to pioneering customers in all nine launch markets: Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States,” Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO of Fisker Inc. stated. “This is a historic moment, where thousands of customers committed $5,000 for a vehicle many have only seen in pictures, demonstrating our customers’ excitement for the Fisker Ocean vehicle and the value proposition of our brand and product. It’s clear Fisker’s approach to price positioning and design, plus our unwavering commitment to sustainability, is the right one for the future!”
At the start of Ocean production, Fisker will prioritize and manufacture all Fisker Ocean Launch Editions, One, and Extreme orders. Shortly thereafter, additional capacity will be allocated to Ultra and Sport trims.
Fisker’s plan is to open pre-orders for the Extreme, Ultra, and Sport trims in a phased approach to smooth out production forecasting. If you’re curious about the Ocean, the interactive configurator will launch in late October.
Meanwhile, plans for the $30,000 PEAR and Project Ronin are running smoothly.
