It will be powered by an upgraded EcoBoost V6.
37-inch tires will give it more ground clearance than any other Bronco.
From the moment the return of the big Bronco was announced, truck fans have wanted to know if the Ford was planning to launch a Raptor version. Although Ford was coy at first, their boss hinted that it was coming.
Only a week ago, Ford released some details on the Bronco DR, or the specially-built desert racer version. This limited-run production model isn’t for street use but clearly, Ford was warming everyone up just ahead of the Bronco Raptor’s launch date.
According to The Bronco Nation, the Bronco Raptor lands in the summer of 2022 and will feature all the goodies. Under the hood, an EcoBoost V6, possibly from the F-150 Raptor, will get things going. With an estimated 450 horsepower, it’ll be just shy of the Jeep Wrangler 392’s 470. The vehicle that was seen sported 37-inch tires which raised the truck’s profile. The tires were barely covered over by flares and visually, it’s all Raptor.
Beyond these details, we can safely assume that the Bronco Raptor will feature an upgraded off-road suspension (perhaps from Multimatic) along with numerous other improvements. Pricing is still far off but we think it won’t be cheap, nor should it be.
