This new package adds elements such as all-terrain tires and underbody bash plates.
Every Bronco Sport Owner now has access to the automaker’s Off-roadeo events.
According to Ford, 90% of owners who take part in Off-roadeo are likely to try off-roading again.
Ford is adding a new package to the Bronco Sport in 2023 that will increase the small SUV’s off-road capabilities.
The Black Diamond off-road package is now offered to buyers of the 2023 Bronco Sport that chose a Big Bend or Outer Banks grade vehicle.
In order to make it easier for owners to adventure off-road, this package includes unique 17-inch wheels that are wrapped in all-terrain tires, as well as four underbody bash plates that protect the powertrain, the fuel tank and the chassis from damage caused by rocks or fallen tree limbs.
Cosmetically, the Black Diamond package adds a matte black hood graphic that features the Bronco horse logo as well as black side stripes that run at the bottom of the doors, spelling out the model’s name.
To commemorate this new model, Ford has also made it possible for every 2023 Bronco Sport owner to attend one of its off-roadeo events in order to experience off-road driving in their vehicles.
The off-roadeo program is held at four locations in the United States, with events taking place in Texas, Nevada, Utah and New Hampshire.
This program in which a driving instructor teaches drivers about off-roading techniques and the capabilities of their vehicles over the course of a day and a few miles of trail driving is apparently popular with participants since Ford claims that 90% of those who attend are likely to try off-roading again at a later date.
