The Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR is a 900+Hp King

You can place an order for a Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR from February 1st, 2022

  • Only 225 KRs will be assembled.

  • This GT500KR marks Shelby American’s 60th anniversary.

  • The package retails for $54,995 and can be fitted on 2020-2022 GT500s.

There can be no doubt that this is the King of the Road. This new Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR will be the fastest and most powerful KR ever built, and with reason. 2022 marks Shelby American’s 60th anniversary and they should celebrate with a massive cloud of tire smoke.

Of the 225 that will be made, 160 are earmarked for the US. And there are two ways to go about getting a real Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR. One is by sending your 2020 or 2021 GT500 over to Shelby American for $54,995 (to start). The other option is to order a 2022 model Shelby GT500 and have it sent directly to Shelby for the package.

For the latter, the car will get special 60th-anniversary badges. All will receive a 3.8-litre Whipple supercharger that will increase the 5.2-litre V8’s output to over 900 horsepower. Also included are a larger throttle body, cold air intake, updated pulley system, and innovated dual-core dual pass intercooler.

The package will include a Shelby by Borla cat-back exhaust system, ride–height adjustable front and rear springs, a MagneRide suspension recalibration, Ford Performance front and rear sway bars, Shelby forged 20-inch aluminum wheels, and much more.

The first example of the new Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR will be auctioned off for charity at Barrett-Jackson. Those in need of the new King of the Road can place their order from February 1st, 2022.
