Ford now gives enthusiasts a choice: Eluminator Electric or the Shelby GT500’s Supercharged V8 crate motors

Ford, and other OEMs, are taking advantage of the strong demand for more of everything and offering various crate engine options for tuners, racers, and the like. Right around the same as Ford introduced the Eluminator Electric crate motor, the Blue Oval will gift its fans with a crated supercharged 5.2-litre V8 engine from the Shelby Mustang GT500.

The Ford Eluminator Electric Crate Motor Sold Out in 3 Days

The 2020-2021 Shelby Mustang GT500 is the most powerful production pony car ever sold by Ford. With no less than 760 horsepower and 625 lb.-ft. of torque on tap, it will transform any common car into a supercar killer.

The crate 5.2-litre, which retails for $25,995, includes a complete motor with accessories. For the money, buyers get:

  • Eaton TVS R2650 Supercharger

  • High strength aluminum block with plasma transferred wire arc spray weld cylinder liners

  • Forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods

  • Exhaust manifolds (left and right)

  • Alternator

  • Starter

  • A/C compressor

  • Supercharger belt

  • Water pump/alternator belt

  • And more.

The package weighs in at 665 lbs and it’s available for order now.
