The Marsien is based on a Porsche 911 Turbo S.
The name “Marsien” is the French word for martian.
Only 40 will be built.
Very few of us will ever see an actual Porsche 959 in the steel. Fewer still will get the opportunity to stare at Porsche’s Paris Dakar-winning 959 Safari. However, if you follow the auto show circuit or are an avid reader of car content, you’ll likely see this one more than once.
The Gemballa Marsien is a fully customized Porsche 911 Turbo S that has seen all of its body panels replaced with bespoke carbon fibre units. Every panel is inspired in one way or another by the iconic 959, right down to the massive squared-off rear spoiler.
The donor Turbo S’ twin-turbocharged flat-6 is tuned by RUF. The “base version” delivers 739 horsepower and 686 lb.-ft. of torque while the other upgrades boosts output to 818 horsepower. The Marsien will sound good too as Akrapovic will design a new titanium exhaust system.
Although this car will surely never be put to the test, it is equipped to tackle off-road terrains. Gemballa, according to Evo, has fitted the Marsien with KW Automotive for a new type of solid-piston damper that’s both adaptive and hydraulically height adjustable. Buyers will have the option to specify a fixed suspension setup.
Only 40 examples of the Gemballa Marsien will be assembled, half of which are already spoken for.
