This is what dealers have been told.
Genesis is unrelenting in its new product offensive.
The GV70 SUV is also on the way.
Let’s take a moment and consider Genesis. In under two years, the luxury car company has launched no fewer than six new vehicles. From the G90, GV80, G80, G70, GV70, and now GV60, all are entirely new or significantly revised. This is a tall order for any automaker to complete in such a short time period but Genesis has managed to do it. And the latest GV60 electric SUV is next to come.
Dealers attending a NADA meeting were informed of the promised electric SUV’s name and timeline on Wednesday. “It was made official that our first battery-electric vehicle will be a luxury SUV called the GV60,” Peter Lanzavecchia, chairman of the Genesis National Dealer Advisory Council and owner of Genesis of Cherry Hill in Marlton, N.J., told Automotive News (subscription required). The source story states that dealers are interested in a larger GV90 SUV however Genesis did not commit to a larger SUV.
So far, every vehicle Genesis has launched, without exception, has impressed the automotive media the world over. This is why we’re convinced both the next Genesis GV70 and Genesis GV60 electric SUV will surpass expectations and create demand.
The GV60 is planned for a late 2021 introduction which means we’ll find out more before long.
