- The same Jaguar I-Pace won the same award in 2019, as well as AJAC Green Car of the Year.
- Jaguar’s first fully electric vehicle has won over 70 awards since its arrival.
The Jaguar I-Pace raced from concept to production vehicle almost overnight, or so it seems. In fact, so shocking was the speed at which the I-Pace hit the road that it has left an indelible impression on Canada’s expert automotive journalist members based across the country. The Jaguar I-Pace has won overall AJAC Utility of the Year two years in a row.
The 2020 Jaguar I-Pace EV400 features a 90kWh hour battery which delivers 377km or pure electric range. The dual electric motor set generates 394-horsepower and 512 lb.-ft. of torque, which is enough to propel the SUV to 100 km/h in only 4.8 seconds.
The I-Pace is still in the running for the AJAC Green Car of the Year award which will be handed out next month.
Wolfgang R. Hoffmann, President, Jaguar Land Rover Canada said: “What a great honour to make history with the Jaguar I-PACE, Canada’s premier battery electric vehicle. The I-PACE is an incredible car, a true technological marvel and as a true Jaguar should be, great fun to drive. Great range, great performance and great all-around capability. We thank AJAC and its voting members for once again recognizing the I-PACE as Canada best Utility Vehicle.”
